This felt tea bag and frosted sugar cookie (with sprinkles!) set is so easy even a beginner sewer can whip one out in an hour or less. They make lovely gifts for little ones and will be lovely for play tea times.
Supplies: Felt scraps (see pattern for specifics), coordinating embroidery floss, tiny bit of stuffing, Pattern & Direction Sheet
Written directions are on the PDF pattern sheet (link above), but here’s photos with a brief tutorial.
Gather your supplies.
Cut out all of your pieces, using the patterns as guides.
Whipstitch the frosting piece to one piece of the cookie (I decided to make my cookie dark chocolate).
Whipstitch the heart to the tea tag.
Embroider the word “tea” or any word you want onto one piece of the tea bag.
Then blanket stitch the two pieces of the tea bag together.
I left a 5 inch or so piece of floss hanging from the top and stitched this to my tea tag, to attach the two together.
Then blanket stitch the tea tag pieces together.
Add some embroidered sprinkles to the cookie frosting.
Put your two pieces of cookie together, wrong sides together, and blanket stitch the cookie closed. Just before you reach where you started, put a little stuffing in so your cookie is plump. Stitch closed.
