Mail Bag Pouch

Last Autumn I participated in a mail themed swap. Each person made five of the same thing, all related to the theme of playing postman or mail time. For my contribution, I made a Mail Pouch, the perfect place for the letters and parcels to be delivered to. The pouch is based off of an upcycled pillowcase book pouch I made years ago (details here). I used felt for the appliqued mail letters, vintage cotton trim for the ties, and assorted cotton fabrics for the bag itself. I fussy cut and appliqued stamp images onto each bag, too, for a cute finishing touch.

The bags are lined with a coordinating cotton so they look pretty inside and out.

The Kiddo has his hanging on his bed post so we can leave him notes.
