The Kiddo did a fun handmade Halloween goodies swap recently that was with the kids of members of a Waldorf swap group I belong to. He made these super cute wood bat magnets and Halloween shaped beeswax decorations for his contribution.
The kiddos he got goodies from did an awesome job, too! He received a gorgeous hand-painted silk (with pumpkins, a bat, a witch, and the word Boo! painted on it), three pumpkins made from melted crayon on rock (so cute!), and a pumpkin shaped beeswax candle (it smells heavenly!).
We sang this song about ten times after we opened the box of goodies. We may have gotten crazier and crazier each time.
And here’s our display of everything, plus some Halloween/Autumn goodies I’ve made (I wish the neighbors kept their rubbish bins somewhere else. They are always showing up in the background when I take pictures of things on this windowsill, which is sort of our Nature Table Display spot. It would be crazy to ask them to move them, right? Not all the time, just when I want to take pictures. I’m not unreasonable, after all. Heh heh).
Last night, we went to a couple select friends’ houses for trick-or-treating, plus another two blocks, which was just the right amount. Hope you had fun, too! Trick-or-treat!
