This summer I am once again teaching workshops for FOVOPA. They are such a great organization, bringing all types of art to their local community. The two workshops I am going to teach are PomPom Creations and Doodles: from 2-D to 3-D.
The topic of PomPom Creations is kind-of self explanatory… we’re making different things out of handmade pompoms. Genius, I know. We’ll make some animals, flowers, and maybe a garland or other fun thing. (I have a PomPom Pinterest board for inspiration.) I am going to teach participants how to make pompoms without any fancy tools, too.
The other workshop, Doodles: from 2-D to 3-D, has people doing fun and quick drawings. After making some 2-D art (I will have suggestions and “guidelines” for doodle drawing), we will move on to doodling in the 3-D (on wood peg people). It should be lots of fun!
I love drawing on square paper. I think it helps your brain open up to a different way of thinking.
PS: Still without a computer, which is why I have been so quiet lately. Hope your summer is going well, though!
