Mmm, I love Dutch Baby Pancakes! Have you had these? It is like a big giant pancake you bake in the oven and then add whatever toppings you want.
A little confectioner’s sugar on top is yummy.
Or guild the lily and add syrup and fresh sliced bananas, too.
Dutch Baby Pancake
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 stick butter
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Put the half stick of butter in a cast-iron ovenproof skillet or heavy baking dish (roughly 10″). Put the skillet in the oven while you prepare batter.
Blend three eggs until foamy; add other ingredients and blend to combine. When the butter in the skillet is melted (be careful it doesn’t burn), roll it around to evenly coat the skillet with butter. Pour the batter into the hot pan and bake for 25 minutes until puffed and golden.
Serve with your favorite toppings.
