A Flying Gnome

gnomeI just finished up a Stuffy swap where the assignment was to create a winged creature stuffy. I found a cute gnome ornament pattern from Skip and Scatter’s blog that I edited to turn into a stuffy, plus I added a pair of wings (what’s more magical than a gnome, you say? a gnome with wings!). Made out of felt and entirely hand sewn, here is Mr. Winged Gnome, complete with a cloud to rest on (those long trips wear him out) and a healthy snack (wood apple, plate, and milk bottle) to refuel.

I also sent my swap recipient this project book for a winged necklace from shrinky dinks and a Frida Kahlo treat, since she is a fellow Frida fan.gnome2

I can’t wait to see what I receive!
