Update! The winner of the giveaway is:
I just sent you an email, so just reply back and I will get your goodies out to you! Thank you so much to everyone for entering and for all of the wonderful comments! You are all so lovely.
I am not into the creepy and gorey side of Halloween; that’s definitely not my cup of tea. But what always makes me think Halloween each year is Charlie Brown & The Great Pumpkin! Have you seen the adorable Halloween themed Peanuts fabric that Quilting Treasures put out? I had to have a panel of it when I saw it on my mini vacation to Maine a few weeks ago!
I took the largest panel and turned it into a quilted wall hanging, full of hand embroidery.
And now some close-ups of the hand stitching, which is pretty much all over the front.
I stitched his crooked smile and tiny eyes,
all of the pumpkins,
most of the leaves,
his shirt (which I love how it turned out),
the moon outline and each of the stars in the sky,
plus the sign letters, sign itself, the fence, and more!
The back is a fun orange and white print, with orange polka dot corners for hanging:
We were lacking something fun & festive for our Halloween decor, and now we are all set!
I also made a super simple apron with the cutest black cat Halloween fabric (reverses to polka dots):
A giveaway for my followers! Giveaway now closed. The giveaway will run until Halloween, and then I will announce a winner. What do you win? Three of the smaller Peanuts panel pieces (so cute for mini wall hangings, which is what I did with a couple, or for mug rugs) and some of that orange and white fabric I used for the backing fabric on my wall hanging. Open to all followers everywhere!
Be sure to stop by and see the other bloggers being “wicked” today!
