Selfish Sewing Week: Infinity Scarf!

It’s Selfish Sewing Week!! Did you get a chance to sew for one hour yesterday on something for you? I hope so!

My first project I am going to share with you is… my new infinity scarf! I have been wanting one of these for about a year and just never made it a priority to make one. I used Anna Maria Horner’s tutorial for one, which she calls a Figure 8 scarf. Β For fabric, I used this awesome double gauze from Imagine Gnat’s shop and a cream glitter knit from Joanne Fabrics. Yes, I said glitter. I admit it, I like glitter. A lot. And the glitter made this fabric special enough to pair with the double gauze.

The tutorial was super clear. I would definitely recommend it. The whole scarf came together in less than an hour. Perfect!

I made it a little shorter and wider than the tutorial version so I could make it almost a hood, in case I wanted to wear it pulled up on a cold, blustery day.infinity scarf

Ooh, don’t I look enigmatic. Maybe I should have smiled or something… oh well. Stay tuned for more selfish sewing all week!
