We have been trying to carve out as much family time as possible in these last rapidly fleeting days of summer. We took a trip recently to one of my favorite places, the Sacandaga River. When I was a kid, my parents would take me and my siblings camping here. It is such a beautiful and restful place, and it was just the place I needed to go. We invited my parents to join us, which delighted the Wee One to no end. He got to read stories with Nana and take walks with Grandpa.
The Middl’n loves the river, too, and he and the Wee One had fun at the river’s edge.
I sat and breathed and took it all in, watching the people I love have fun. Since I can never just sit, I took along a redwork embroidery to do:
It is headed off to Canada to meet its recipient in the swap I was participating in.
Now it is time to get ready for fall…
