I made my first redwork embroidery this week. It is for a swap I am participating in– the directions were to pick any design I want that is roughly 5.5 inches and then use one color of red to embroider the design. I found this sweet (and free!) honey bee design on Alice Cantrell’s website and knew it was what I wanted to stitch. I added the word “believe” (ha, ha, get it?) and a trio of honeycombs at the top.

I have to cut it down to 6.5 inches square and then it is set to mail!

PS: I am still waiting to hear back from the winner of my last giveaway. If I don’t hear back by tomorrow, I will pick a new winner.
