I have a cookie swap party to go to this afternoon, so I thought it was the perfect time to share another great handmade gift you could do: food! There are so many yummy and easy options out there, like Pumpkin Butter (this is on my list to make) from Dandee.
Or how about some candy cane dip? Yum!
And cookies… mmm, so many cookie recipes to pick from. For the cookie swap today I made Paula Deen’s Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies. They have a crunchy outside and gooey-ish chocolate inside and are super easy to make. Here’s a couple photos of the ones I made. They do take a little bit of time because you have to roll each one into a ball and then roll them into powdered sugar, plus before you can do that the dough needs to refrigerate for a few hours to be firm enough to roll.
Anything with cream cheese and butter has to be good, right?
