Printmaking with Celery

Yes, you read that right. I printed with the end (heart?) of the celery and it was awesome. We eat a fair amount of salad, especially when it is hot, so in the last couple days alone I saved two of the ends of celery for this printmaking activity. I had some plain muslin bags I wanted to jazz up, so I after trimming the celery end until it was straight across, I dipped it in fabric paint and then pressed it on the bags. I used green, yellow, and coral paint. It makes a really pretty floral shape that would be neat on t-shirts or for personalized stationery.
