Lazy Monday

Thomas the Train puzzleIt is raining out. Apparently it is supposed to rain every day for the next eight days. That is a lot of inside time. So far today we have put together the Thomas puzzle three times, read the construction truck books we got from the library, painted, watched a Charlie Brown cartoon (our guilty pleasure), went to the Post Office, and played with the noisy toys. You know, the toys other people who don’t live with your child give to them. The ones that sing and make weird noises. The ones your child loves lots and lots (which is why they are in the house still). The one that gets the Alphabet Song stuck in your head or makes you hum Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star  while in all adult company.

Oh, and I did have a half hour to myself while G was playing trains. I worked on this table runner I am going to use on my table at the Handmade Market I am doing in two weeks. Here’s a sneak peek.

I think I am going to have to do some searching for some out of the ordinary, super fun things to do inside with toddlers this week. If you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to share them below!

    • 🙂 So true! That sounds like it could be turned into one of those word problems in math… Person A and Person B are attending a toddler birthday party. Each person is bringing one gift. If Person A lives 72 miles from the toddler and has a teenager and Person B lives 48 miles away but has no children, who brings the present with the larger decibel rating?
