The Wee One and I love to paint, particularly with watercolors. When he was on his butterfly kick earlier this week, he made about a dozen of these oil pastel and watercolor butterfly paintings: I joined him and made two little spring themed watercolors, just for fun. These were definitely inspired by our nature walks, … Continue reading »

My son is obsessed with butterflies lately! It must be the springtime air. He has drawn no less than 2 dozen butterfly pictures in the last week, so when he discovered these butterfly bodies in my stash of craft supplies, he was delighted. Watercolor Painted Wood Cardinals
The Wee One and I had lots of fun on Wednesday. The day started off with a two hour school delay due to the lovely snow coming down, so I made cinnamon roll pancakes and hot chocolate (with whipped cream!) for him and the Middl’n. Then the Wee One and I went for a snowy … Continue reading »
For the Birds!
We had a bird themed day yesterday. Both the Wee One and I enjoy watching the birds outside our window and out in nature when we go on walks, so we decided to make them a special winter treat. There are lots of birdseed ornament “recipes” out there, but we made up our own based … Continue reading »
